Volunteers will work a 2-hour shift each of the 3 days day of the event, and must work either the setup (Thursday Aug 28) or tear-down day (Monday Sept 1). Additionally, volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
What to Expect
Before Castle Crash Quadtopia
Official communication with volunteers will primarily happen through the Castle Crash Society Discord server. We also typically post to the Instagram group (message a CCS director to be added or ask in Discord) and via emails, particularly for important updates.

Once you sign up, we'll be in touch with the volunteers to get preferences for what crews interested in working with. A few weeks before Quadtopia, we'll publish the volunteer schedule.
During Castle Crash Quadtopia
During the event, each volunteer will be needed for around 6 hours total: one shift of 2 hours on each of the 3 days. Here is the short description of each volunteer crew:
- Check-In Crew helps pilots and spectators get signed in as they arrive, and give them some orientation to Castle Crash.
- Flight Line Managers coordinate pilots that are flying and those in queue to fly at each flight line to ensure safe and smooth operation.
- Hospitality Crew ensures everyone is having a good time! They answer questions, provide directions, move supplies around, and help resolve concerns. Additionally, they may help with setup and running the events that happen during their shift.
- Build Area Helpers help answer questions that folks in the build area may have. Maybe you know it all?
If you have any special needs, such as limited mobility concerns, please reach out to info@castlecrash.org once you put in the order for your volunteer pass. Additionally, if you need to withdraw from volunteering, please let us know as soon as you can.
